How to keep your viewer's attention

This can be applied to most types of information, or entertainment.

Have you ever went to look something up, only to find the information you need is in a three page article that is on an extremely boring subject. You might read the first couple of paragraphs, get bored, and go look somewhere else for a smaller amount of information.

But have you ever found the same article, and ended up sticking it out and reading all three pages? Ever ask yourself why you would rather read one article, and not the other? Even if they're the same length, and on the same subject?

It's because the one you decided to read and stick with is almost guaranteed to be more interesting!

Think about YouTube. Have you ever been around a friends when they watch a video and see them pick a video, and close it after watching five to ten seconds of it? It's the same thing, people judge the video by the first couple seconds that they watch. *hint hint to people making videos for YouTube*

You can make a video, article, or whatever you want informative, as well as interesting. Spice things up a bit, and try to grab the reader's attention right off the bat.
